Ag Business Club members on Spring 2019 Tour

Agribusiness Club Spring Trip to Georgia

In April 2019 the Agribusiness Club traveled to Atlanta and southern Georgia. Edwin Carter (BS 1982, MS 1983) hosted the group at Coca-Cola where they learned about Coca-Cola around the world, logistics and coffee (new product). Dr. Don Shurley, former UK Ag Econ faculty (1980-1990), hosted the group for trips to Dooley Cotton Gin, Calhoun's Market and Premium Peanuts. Lucia Ona (PhD 2007) an Ag Econ faculty member at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, joined us for lunch at Calhoun's. They also visited the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton, GA and attended an Atlanta Braves game.
