Professional Biography
Jill Stowe earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Texas Tech University and her PhD in Economics at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Kentucky, she was on the faculty in the Decision Sciences group at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Stowe is currently full professor in Agricultural Economics. From 2013-2016, Dr. Stowe served as the UK Ag Equine Programs Director, and has served as the Director of Undergraduate Students for Equine Science and Management since 2022. Dr. Stowe’s primary research program focuses on equine markets, with applications in price analysis and decision making. Additional research projects incorporate the fields of behavioral economics, game theory, and sports economics.
