Topic: Navigating the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry
I’ve always had a strong passion for feeding people whether it be cooking for friends, volunteering at a food pantry, or providing a meal to someone in need. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2013 with an Agricultural Economics degree I decided I wanted to bring this passion into a professional setting and work in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry.
I started my career at Advantage Solutions learning the fundamentals of retail in the grocery business and worked with various manufacturers on their go-to-market strategies. After that, I found an opportunity at Kraft Heinz to support one of the largest retailers in the country. I’ve been fortunate to have several sales roles, leading teams and calling on multiple retailers during my time with the company. I now lead our Business Development team overseeing insights, strategy and execution for the grocery, value, drug and e-commerce chains.
After having over 10 years of experience in CPG, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge developing brands, launching new items, creating shopper marketing strategies, navigating a supply chain during a pandemic, and learning how to create consumer demand. I’ve built my career in this industry because it challenges me, requires me to think differently, and rewards those who embrace change - it’s an industry full of opportunities for those ready to take them.
