From Farm to Fork - My Career Up and Down the Food Supply Chain
Cory Reinle is an agriculturalist and food enthusiast from Nelson County Kentucky. From an early age, Cory engaged in farm work for both family and friends, fostering a deep appreciation for the intricacies of farming and food production. However, he soon recognized his inclination towards the "business side" of agriculture, rather than pursuing a career as a farmer. Following his involvement in high school agriculture classes and FFA, Cory pursued a degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky, graduating in the class of 2010. He furthered his academic pursuits at the University of Florida, where he obtained a Master of Science in Food and Resource Economics & Agribusiness. During his tenure at UF, Cory was exposed to the dynamic fresh produce industry, igniting his passion for working with food supply chains.
Over the past 13 years, Cory has worked as a Produce Buyer for a grocery retail chain, worked on the supply side of the fresh produce industry, and now works in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry as a Senior Manager of Procurement for Nestlé USA. His experience has given him insights into purchasing, supply chain management, logistics, inventory management and sales within the food industry. He is passionate about strategy, negotiations, leadership, team chemistry and employee development within his teams.
