Since retiring from The Coca-Cola Company, Edwin has published two books and been active in interim VP roles in supply chain in food and beverage organizations.   At The Coca-Cola Company he was the VP Supply Chain for the Commercial Product Supply organization, where 74%+ of the company revenue was created by producing base beverages and concentrate that was sold from 18 locations to 1,000+ ship-to locations of their global bottling partners. There he led eight distinct functions:  Material management, customer service, demand planning, product and portfolio (commercialization), procurement, transportation & logistics, network optimization and business continuity planning.  He led a team of 40+ people leaders in 17 countries with a 315-person organization managing near 40,000 SKUs.

Prior to this role, Edwin spent time in procurement, where he led global procurement enablement (PMO and analytical functions) and Global Commodity Risk Management for The Coca-Cola Company, Sr. Vice-President Commodity Risk Management for Pilgrim’s Pride, at the time the World’s largest poultry company, and led Dairy and Cheese Procurement and Commodity Risk Management for the purchasing cooperative of Yum! Brands.    He spent the first third of his career in the grain industry as a commodity trader, merchandiser, export facility manager, licensed futures introducing broker and cash grain broker. 

Edwin lives with his wife, Debbie, of 40 years in Kennesaw, GA.  He has a B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from The University of Kentucky.  He is six-sigma green belt certified, trained in FASB 133, has Management certificates from Georgia Tech University and Certification in cheese making from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.   He is an active member of NorthStar Church in Kennesaw where is on the Management Team and Finance Committee.
